Any Dorothy Sayers fans out there?

I'm tempted to post something about virtue ethics. The temptation would be stronger if there are Connectors who read the Lord Peter Whimsy novels by Dorothy Sayers.

I have read and enjoyed everyone of the Lord Peter Wimsey novels. My favs are Gaudy Night and The Nine Tailors.

Precisely. I envy Dorothy Sayers for the way she was able to sprinkle Lord Peter's conversation with so many wonderful pieces of poetry.

Ah, but that line is Harriet's. Strong Poison, p. 46.

(And Kai Lung was a person, appearing in Bramah's The Wallet of Kai Lung, Kai Lung's Golden Hours, and Kai Lung Unrolls His Mat. Perhaps modeled on the life and work of Matsuo Basho.)

I missed that one. Nicely paired, don't you think, at the opening and closing of one of fiction's great romances? And it closes (at least for the things published in Sayers' lifetime) with no shabby tigers.

I cannot say when I will write and post the short essay I have in mind. I do know what I want to say. It's something on the order of Tinker to Evers to Chance, except it's be more like Sayers to Anscombe to MacIntyre.
